Plesk Obsidian 18.0.54 18 July 2023 What’s New? We are excited to introduce the Sitejet Builder extension, our new website builder for Plesk powered by WebPros. This extension is provided free of charge, allowing you and your clients to effortlessly create modern and stunning websites without any coding skills. Added the ability to tune the MySQL/MariaDB server performance in Tools & Settings > Performance Booster (under “General Settings”). Added the ability to add Transport Layer Security Authentication (TLSA) DNS records to domains’ DNS zones in Plesk. Such records are most commonly used to implement DNS-based Authentication of Named Entities (DANE). Added the ability to back up databases separately from other website content by splitting the “User files and databases” checkbox into separate “Databases” and “User files” checkboxes in Backup Manager. Added the ability to schedule hourly backups in Backup Manager. To enable the feature, add the following lines to the panel.ini file: [pmm] allowHourlyTask = on By default, the ability to schedule hourly backups is only enabled for Plesk administrators. To enable resellers and customers to do so as well, go to Tools & Settings > Backup Manager , click Settings > select the “Allow customer and reseller accounts to schedule hourly backups” checkbox, and then click OK . Based on Beta users feedback we are glad to announce that our tool to convert your CentsOS 7 server to AlmaLinux 8 is now Production ready! The ready to use CLI tool is available in our GitHub repository . Added a number of features to the DNS integration for Cloudflare extension (the extension is still in beta). The extension now allows to enable & disable CDN (proxy mode). Plesk administrator can now manage all domains on the server and enable/disable the integration for the domains owned by customers. In Plesk for Windows, it is now possible to integrate your server with 360 Monitoring, a new tool present in the Plesk 360 cloud service . 360 Monitoring brings a couple of useful features , for example, monitoring of website availability, various notification channels, and more. Feature Improvements We made a number of improvements to the way icons are placed on the domain card in Dynamic list view: Changed the way icons are aligned to grid. Limited the number of icons in a row to three. Increased the icon size from 16px to 24px. These changes make the domain card easier to read, and help you locate specific icons more quickly regardless of your viewport size. In Dynamic List view, we merged the “Hosting Settings” and “Web Hosting Access” into a single drawer accessible right from the domain card. Made a number of improvements to Dynamic List view: When set to “On a separate page”, you can now see websites’ root folders. To enable the feature, add the following lines to the panel.ini file: [dynamicList] showColumnHostingLocation = on When set to “In an expanded row”, clicking the “Expand all/Collapse all” button now completely expands or collapses the entire list of domains and subdomains. Removed the separate “Hosting Settings” page for domain aliases. Controls for most settings can now be found right on the alias card. The option to rename a domain alias was moved to the hamburger menu in the top right corner of the alias card. Added support for nightly packages in Plesk on RHEL 9 and its derivatives to the “SOGo Webmail” extension. Added the -auto-confirm-this-may-lock-me-out-of-the-server option to the plesk ext firewall command line utility. The option can be used with the --apply and --enable commands, and removes the need to run the --confirm command in a separate SSH session when applying a new firewall configuration. This option must only be used for automated Plesk deployments. Using this option may result in being permanently locked out of the server if the applied firewall configuration is misconfigured. Fixed Product Issues Running the plesk bin site --show-php-settings or plesk bin domain_template --show-php-settings commands now shows the PHP settings correctly. (PPPM-14009) Entries about mailbox quota changes are now added to the action log. (PPPM-13934) Updating customer information no longer fails with the “TypeError: rewind(): Argument #1 ($stream) must be of type resource, array given” error. (PPPM-14038) SSL/TLS certificates securing webmail no longer become unassigned when migrating domains from a Plesk Onyx server to a Plesk Obsidian server, or when restoring a backup created on a Plesk Onyx server on a Plesk Obsidian server. (PPPM-14014) Switching to a different domain on the “PHP Settings” page now correctly shows the PHP handler for the latter domain. Plesk Obsidian 18.0.44 24 May 2022 We are glad to introduce the production version of the Laravel Toolkit extension. Added the following improvements to the extension: Use the extension in Plesk for Windows. Deploy a Laravel skeleton application on a domain. Create a website with the latest Laravel version with just a few clicks ( Websites & Domains > Add Domain > Laravel site ). Introduced the new “Deployment” section that makes it possible to use custom scripts to deploy applications. View the extension logs in Log Browser. (Plesk for Linux) Run artisan and composer commands without having to specify the whole path. Enjoy smoother transitions between screens with introduced content placeholders. When Plesk loads application cards as well as Composer and Artisan sections, you can now see their rough skeletons. Multiple UX improvements. The new “Add Domain” screen is now enabled by default. Learn more about this improvement . The /root/.my.cnf file that contains the password for the MySQL console client no longer blocks Plesk automatic updates. The interface in Power User View is now always set to “All webspaces” unless users select the desired webspace themselves. As soon as the Plesk administrator creates the second webspace, they now see a hint on how to switch between webspaces. Made the transitions between domain cards smoother by introducing content placeholders: when Plesk loads a domain card, users now see its rough skeleton. It is now possible to change a database user password on the remote database server Percona MySQL 8.0.23. Компания IBM решила использовать новое название для своего подразделения, которое будет в дальнейшем заниматься развитием существующего бизнеса в области IT-инфраструктуры. Оно получило название Kyndryl. Сама же IBM сможет сфокусироваться на новых (и более прибыльных) сферах, таких как искусственный интеллект и облачные сервисы. Выбор названия для новой компании в IBM поясняют следующим образом. Часть «Kyn» происходит от слова kinship (родство), ссылаясь на веру в то, что отношения с людьми – сотрудниками, клиентами и партнёрами – находятся в центре стратегии, и что необходимо строить и развивать долгосрочные отношения. Часть «Dryl» происходит от слова tendril (усик), она напоминает о новом росте и идее, что бизнес всегда работает в направлении прогресса человечества. «Родство» и «усики» – два первых слова, которые приходят на ум, когда речь идет о сервисах управляемой инфраструктуры. А буква «y» призвана передать «дух настоящего партнёрства и роста», который олицетворяет корпоративная IT-система Kyndryl. Помимо пафосных фраз у выбора названия может быть и более прозаическое объяснение, связанное с SEO. Слово Kyndryl, каким бы странным оно ни казалось, не рискует быть потерянным в результатах поисковой выдачи. Первоначально для подразделения, ныне известного как Kyndryl, планировалось использовать название NewCo, которое уже не столь строго может ассоциироваться с подразделением IBM в поисковой выдаче.

Компания NVIDIA анонсировала свой первый процессор для центров обработки данных. CPU NVIDIA Grace выполнен на базе архитектуры ARM и, по заверениям производителя, обеспечивает 10-кратный прирост производительности по сравнению с современными наиболее мощными серверами в большинстве комплексных задач ИИ и высокопроизводительных рабочих нагрузках. Чип назван в честь Грейс Хоппер – пионера компьютерного программирования в США. Grace – это узкоспециализированный процессор, предназначенный для таких рабочих нагрузок, как обучение моделей NLP (Natural Language Processing – обработка естественного языка) нового поколения с более чем 1 трлн параметров. При тесном взаимодействии с графическими процессорами NVIDIA система на базе процессора Grace обеспечивает в 10 раз более высокую производительность, чем современные системы на базе решений NVIDIA DGX, работающие на процессорах x86. Процессор Grace будет обслуживать нишевый сегмент вычислений. Швейцарский национальный суперкомпьютерный центр (CSCS) и Лос-Аламосская национальная лаборатория Министерства энергетики США первыми объявили о планах по созданию суперкомпьютеров на базе чипов Grace для поддержки национальных научных исследований. Серверные системы для них изготовит Hewlett Packard Enterprise, а поставки таких устройств заказчикам запланированы на 2023 год. Как отмечает NVIDIA, на разработку CPU Grace ушло более 10 тыс. человеко-лет инженерной работы. В основе высокой производительности чипа лежит технология межсоединений NVIDIA NVLink четвёртого поколения, которая обеспечивает скорость соединения между Grace и графическими процессорами NVIDIA на уровне 900 ГБ/с. Это обеспечивает 30-кратное увеличение совокупной пропускной способности по сравнению с ведущими современными серверами. Grace также будет использовать подсистему памяти LPDDR5x, которая обеспечит вдвое большую пропускную способность и в 10 раз лучшую энергоэффективность по сравнению с памятью DDR4. Кроме того, новая архитектура обеспечивает унифицированную согласованность кеш-памяти с единым адресным пространством памяти, объединяя системную память и память HBM графического процессора для упрощения программирования. Grace будет поддерживаться комплектом разработки программного обеспечения NVIDIA HPC и полным набором библиотек CUDA и CUDA-X, что позволяет ускорять вычисления для более чем 2000 совместимых приложений. Процессоры NVIDIA Grace должны стать доступными для заказчиков в начале 2023 года.

Компания Huawei намерена конкурировать в сфере 5G, даже не имея возможности повсеместно продавать свои 5G-смартфоны. Китайский технологический гигант объявил, что намерен добиваться отчислений от таких компаний, как Apple и Samsung, в обмен на использование своих патентов. Huawei считает, что может заключать лицензионные соглашения, даже несмотря на санкции в США. Компания планирует использовать такие доходы для дальнейшего инвестирования в исследования и разработки. Во время разработки стандарта 5G компания Huawei наряду с Qualcomm и Ericsson получала патенты на необходимые технологии. Эти технологические решения необходимы для взаимодействия между различными сетями 5G. Компания намерена взимать до $2,50 с каждого смартфона, использующего её патенты в сфере 5G. Huawei считает, что продолжающиеся санкции не повлияют на её патентный бизнес. Патентные поступления компании приносят существенный доход компании Huawei. По оценкам Ding, Huawei заработает от $1,2 млрд до $1,3 млрд от лицензирования патентов в промежуток времени с 2019 года по 2021 год. Стремясь отвлечь от анонса процессоров Intel Core 11-го поколения для настольных ПК, компания AMD представила линейку гибридных процессоров Ryzen PRO 5000U для ноутбуков бизнес-класса. Новинки относятся к 7-нм семейству Cezanne и являются кровными братьями уже хорошо известных потребительских APU Ryzen 5000U. PRO-версии Ryzen 5000U предназначены для использования в бизнес-среде, выделяясь расширенной поддержкой и технологиями безопасности. Серия Ryzen PRO 5000U представлена тремя моделями с числом ядер 4, 6 и 8 — Ryzen 7 Pro 5850U, Ryzen 5 Pro 5650U, Ryzen 3 Pro 5450U. Как отмечалось выше, технически это полные копии потребительских аналогов. Между собой все новинки роднит x86-ядра Zen 3 и поддержка технологии Simultaneous Multi-Threading, улучшенное видеоядро Radeon Vega и 15-ваттный теплопакет, который может быть повышен до 25 Вт.  Как отмечалось выше, новые Ryzen Pro 5000U выделяются расширенной поддержкой со стороны производителя (трехлетняя гарантия и расширенный до двух лет срок доступности для OEM-производителей) и комплексом технологий безопасности. Это ядро AMD Secure Processor (аналог Intel Management Engine) для предотвращения атак на уровне ядра и других угроз безопасности, функция полного шифрования оперативной памяти AMD Memory Guard (эквивалент AMD Secure Memory Encryption в серверных процессорах Epyc) и набор AMD Pro Manageability — ответ на Intel Active Management Technology, являющаяся частью пакета vPro. Новые чипы обеспечивают значительный прирост производительности в сравнении с предшественниками Ryzen Pro 4000, а также превосходят конкурентов из стана Intel. AMD говорит о превосходстве 15-ваттного Ryzen 7 Pro 5850U над 28-ваттным Intel Core i7-1185G7 в нескольких бенчмарках, включая PCMark 10, Geekbench r20 и Passmark 10, а также офисных программах и браузерах. Также AMD обещает заметное улучшение автономности — ноутбуки на базе Ryzen 7 Pro 5850U смогут автономно работать до 17,5 часа в смешанном режиме на одном заряде. Но, как обычно, лучше дождаться независимых тестов.

Некоторое время назад сообщалось, что после установки очередного обновления операционной системы Windows 10 пользователи столкнулись с проблемами в работе принтеров. Как оказалось, при попытке открыть диалоговое окно печати из Блокнота, Office или других программ появляется синий экран, информирующий об аварийном завершении работы системы. Корпорация Microsoft оперативно разобралась с проблемой и выпустила очередное обновление Windows 10, которое должно устранить причины сбоя в работе принтеров, возникшего после установки предыдущего обновления. В примечаниях к обновлению Microsoft говорит, что проблема затронула только «определённые принтеры, использующие некоторые приложения», но не уточняет, какие именно. Похоже, это повлияло на некоторые принтеры Kyocera, Ricoh и Zebra. Пользователям указанных принтеров рекомендуется установить последнее обновление Windows 10. Для этого нужно открыть меню «Пуск», выбрать пункт «Параметры» > «Обновление и безопасность» > «Центр обновления Windows» и нажать кнопку «Проверить наличие обновлений».

Корпорация Microsoft сообщила о выходе новой версии программы Windows Terminal 1.6, а также доступности предварительной версии Windows Terminal 1.7.  Финальная версия Windows Terminal 1.6 получила функцию действий, выполняемых при запуске. Это позволит запускать терминал с нестандартными конфигурациями. Также в программе доступны индикатор прогресса, пиксельные шейдеры, и новые действия, включая улучшенную работу с окнами. Кроме того, в программе появились настройки пользовательского интерфейса. Это новая возможность, которая ещё будет дорабатываться и улучшаться в дальнейшем. Не обошлось без исправления выявленных ошибок и мелких улучшений. Что касается предварительной версии Windows Terminal 1.7, то она как раз и предлагает дополнительные улучшения в разделе настроек пользовательского интерфейса. Также добавлена поддержка фрагментов JSON (их можно загружать как расширения, которые могут изменять настройки пользователя). Дополнительно улучшена работа с окнами. Теперь можно настроить запуск новых окон терминала в уже существующем экземпляре терминала. Реализована поддержка панелей только для чтения, что предотвращает случайное внесение изменений в них. Наконец, добавлены новые действия и исправлены выявленные ошибки.
